Your day, hour by hour

Drag the sun across the day.

Bars show where each hour of your home's power comes from. The curve is what your panels make.

How we calculate
  • Panels are 585 W monocrystalline modules; a kilowatt of panels makes 4.5 kWh on an average Lebanese day, 5.8 in summer and 2.9 in winter.
  • Each appliance runs at its rated power during its usual window of the day; you can change its hours.
  • EDL hours are spread through the day in short blocks, the way rationing usually arrives.
  • Batteries are 5.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate modules, 90% usable, 95% efficient each way.
  • The inverter covers your busiest hour plus 25% headroom.
  • Your saving is the generator energy that the sun and battery replace, averaged over summer, spring and autumn, and winter.
  • Prices are installed ranges in USD with frames, cabling, breakers and labour; the survey fixes the final figure.
  • Diesel and CO₂ use typical small-generator figures: 0.33 L and 0.9 kg per kWh.
Services

Everything between the sun and your sockets.

Six services, one team. Every system is drawn, priced and installed by SUNHAUS staff, never subcontracted.

Projects

Roofs we switched on.

Apartment buildings in Beirut, villas in Metn, a chalet above Faraya and workshops in the Bekaa. Open any project for the system and the before-and-after bill.

Financing

Pay for sunlight the way you pay the generator: monthly.

Choose a system, choose a plan. On most homes the instalment is smaller than the generator bill it replaces, so you are ahead from the first month.

About SUNHAUS

Engineers who got tired of the generator, too.

SUNHAUS technician wiring breakers in a distribution board

Started in a Mar Mikhael garage in 2019, when the generator bill passed the rent.

Karim Saadé had spent twenty years building backup power for hospitals. When his own building's generator started costing more than his flat, he put eight panels on the roof, wrote a spreadsheet of every hour of his family's day and never looked back.

That spreadsheet is now the calculator on this site. The garage is a workshop with three installation crews, a battery lab and a monitoring desk that watches every system we have switched on.

Installation day

What a SUNHAUS install day looks like.

For a family apartment. Buildings and villas take a little longer, the order stays the same.

07:30
Crew arrives, roof protected

Walkways and mats down, tanks and pipes marked, neighbours told what to expect.

08:30
Frames anchored

Galvanised frames bolted to the slab at the tilt from your drawing, wind-load checked.

11:00
Panels up and strung

Panels lifted, clamped and wired in strings; every string voltage tested before it goes down the shaft.

13:30
Inverter and batteries in place

Wall-mounted inverter, battery stack, breakers, surge protection and earthing next to your panel board.

15:30
Two hours without power

We connect your board to the inverter and the EDL and generator lines through an automatic switch.

17:30
Switch-on and handover

The app goes on your phone, we walk you through the battery settings and leave the drawings and warranties.

Our promises

Written into every contract.

5-year workmanship guarantee

Leaks, loose cables, frames: we fix anything we installed, free, for five years.

Fixed price after survey

The figure you sign is the figure you pay. Extra work needs your written OK first.

48-hour fault visits

If your system stops, a technician is on site within two working days.

Old batteries collected

We take back lead-acid batteries and send them to a licensed recycler.
