Contents
Four chapters, shot in a courtyard above Batroun in late September. Every piece is in the shop, and every piece fits on the style board.
A note from the atelier
We make fewer things, in better cloth, for women who will wear them for years, and then lend them to their daughters.
Sahar Haddad, founder · Saifi Village, Beirut
Chapter I · p. 04
Linen & Light

Linen should look lived-in by noon. We wash ours twice before it is cut, so it arrives soft, falls straight from a high waist and forgives a long lunch.
Trousers & skirts

“Buy the linen a size you can breathe in. Then never iron it.”Rania, head stylist
Chapter II · p. 12
The Tailored Hour

A good coat is a decision you make once. The Hamra is cut with room for knitwear, proofed against the first October rain on the Corniche and finished with a buckled belt you can actually use.
Outerwear

“Tweed over silk. It shouldn't work, and it always does.”From the fitting room
Chapter III · p. 20
After Dark

Bias-cut silk that pours rather than clings, a crew of two-ply cashmere for the walk home, rib knit that doesn't seat out after a long dinner.
Dresses“Champagne silk turns gold after eight.”Leila, in the courtyard
Chapter IV · p. 28
