A shop till that thinks in dollars and pounds, and gives change in both.
A point of sale for a clothing shop in Gemmayzeh. Scan a tag or pick the size and colour from a stock grid, then take any mix of US dollars, Lebanese pounds, card and Whish at the shop's own rate: the till shows what is left in both currencies and exactly which notes to hand back, with pound change rounded to the nearest 5,000. Returns and exchanges start from the receipt number, and the shift closes with a note-by-note drawer count and a Z-report showing over or short in each currency.
Ring up a basket, take two $100 notes and two million pounds, and the till works out the balance and the change in both currencies, rounds the pounds to the nearest 5,000, lays out the exact notes to hand back and prints the rate on the receipt.
A live stock board for a Hamra mini-market: simulated sales drain stock in real time, products cross their reorder points, and alerts for low, out-of-stock and overstock items appear with a reorder suggestion based on supplier lead time.
