RTL Arabic Switch

The same store dashboard flips between English and Arabic in one tap: the layout mirrors right-to-left, Arabic typography takes over, digits switch between Western and Eastern Arabic, dates follow Levantine, standard or Hijri months, and a side-by-side mode shows both directions at once.

Use the Live / Loading / Empty / Error switch at the top to see every state.

Why it matters

Customers across Lebanon and the Gulf trust a store that reads naturally in their language. A clean switch — mirrored layout, the right digits, real Arabic plurals and dates — feels native rather than translated, and one codebase serves both audiences.

How it works

  1. 01Every screen is built with logical CSS (inline start and end instead of left and right), so setting lang="ar" and dir="rtl" mirrors the whole layout; only directional icons such as arrows and chevrons get an explicit flip.
  2. 02Numbers, prices, percentages, dates and plurals go through the browser's Intl formatters for ar-LB, with a choice of Western or Eastern Arabic digits and Levantine, standard or Hijri month names.
  3. 03Phone numbers, order IDs and URLs are isolated so they stay left-to-right inside Arabic text, and side-by-side mode lets you hover any element to find its mirrored twin.
